giving that her father worked as a projectionist in a movie theatre it isn't too shocking that young Zhou Xun grow up wanting to be on the screen. But her parents wanted her to focus on her education and go to college. After fighting over the issue Zhou Xun was able to attend Zhejiang Arts Institute.
